A Week Old...

Well we've made it through our first week.

Went to the Dr. on Tuesday for my postpartum apt and they removed my staples, everything looked good and was healing. Easton weighed 7 lbs 4 oz, still has a little bit of jaundice but it's within range they said.

Easton couldn't be a better baby. He is so wonderful, he sleeps right now for about 2 hours then nurses and then sleeps another 2 hours, etc, round the clock. Last night we had our first 3-4 hour stretch which was so nice compared to my 1 hour of sleep here and there, but surprisingly it hasn't been too bad adjusting must have been all those nights of running to the bathroom that prepared me.

Went to my in laws house on Friday for one of our first road trips and all went well, of course he slept really well in the car, then on Sunday we headed to my parents house up in Oak Harbor and we had the same outcome slept all the way. So we are hoping that will be the same when we head out on the road in a month.

Here are some recent photos of our new pride and joy!

Thanks for reading...

He's Here....5/16/08

We'll he's finally here. Thursday night my mom talked me into taking Castor Oil (which I don't recommend nasty tasting stuff) I went into labor a few hours later...contractions started at around 10:30 pm by 11:30 pm contractions were about 2 minutes - 5 minutes apart, we finally called our Doula Vanessa and she told us to head to hospital so we got there after a few choice words from me telling Brett to run some red lights. At about 2am they let us go home since I was not dilating, we got home only to turn around at 4:30 am and head back to the hospital to get prepped for my c-section.

At 7:00 am they wheeled me into the operation room with Brett and our Doula Vanessa. While Grandma Connie (my mom) and Grandma Ginger (Brett's Mom) waited outside the delivery room.

During the C-Section the 2 surgeons started getting panicked and it appears that I had a uterine rupture (from my previous C-section with Mitchell) and had I gone into labor (not the C-Section) I could have lost Easton, died or had to have a hysterectomy. So I think God was looking out for me and that is why my body would not go into natural delivery. I asked the Dr's if the rupture was on my right side as I had been having pain on that side which I thought was a side ache or contractions - Nope it was the starting of the tear.

At 7:24 am we welcomed Easton Clark William Webb into the world. Weighing in at 7 lbs 9 oz, and was 20 1/2 inches long. Stay tuned for more updates...

Tomorrow is D Day....

Hi Everyone
Well Easton still has not arrived on his own. Brett and I will be heading to Evergreen Hospital tomorrow morning at 4 am for our scheduled C-Section, unless he decides to show up tonight.

We have to be checked in at 5 am to be prepped for surgery. Surgery is at 7:00 am. Easton should arrive around 7:15 ish and then they will need to stitch me up, so I'm guessing that if everything goes according to plan I will be back in my room between 8 am and 8:30 am.

They are planning on keeping me through the weekend and will either release me on Sunday or Monday.

Feel free to stop by and visit and see the baby....Wish us luck...can't believe I'm going to be a mommy again tomorrow.
