Where we've been....

So for Father's Day weekend we were invited to go to Moclips Beach, WA with our friends Jamie (Brett's) and her boyfriend Bobby.  Jamie's boss has a cabin on the beach so we were in heaven.  Here is our adventures....
P.S. when I refer to Jamie as "Brett's" Jamie, it's because we have about 5 Jamie's in our life.  And she was his friend before we married.

 Brett and Easton....Happy Father's Day!!!

This was the WOW tree, it was a hidden secret.  We ran into a local and he told us about the "Enchanted Forest", we rounded the corner and this is what we saw...the first time I didn't have my camera with me, the 2nd time I wouldn't have missed the shot....so beautiful!!!

Brett, Bobby, Mitchell and Jamie..digging for clams.  See how close we were to the beach...HEAVEN!!!

Mitchell - growing up way to fast!!!
Look at those eyes...this is the SPOILED one...

I collected sand dollars every day, they were EVERYWHERE!  These ones were not ready to be collected but I couldn't resist make a sign.  When we got home I counted how many I had found - 65!!!!  That is not including what Mitchell collected.   We could have brought so many more home...so glad we didn't!!!!  Now what to do with 65 Sand Dollars....Craft project in the making....hmmmmm

He just couldn't stay out of the water...the only bad part is that his ENTIRE bag of clothes, pull-ups, wipes, shoes, socks, etc....was left on the top of the stairs at HOME!  We had to wash this outfit every night.  Thank goodness mommy kept pull ups in her car!!!

This photo just about sums up how our trip was....RELAXING!  Poor Abbey was exhausted from running on the beach and chasing the seagulls.

Oh so I had to throw this photo in...I LOVE THIS LIGHT!!  It was on a beautiful beach house...DREAMING....someday....

Missing in action - part two

Happy Wednesday everyone. Sorry I haven't posted anything in a couple of weeks. So much going on. Our little guy turned three on Monday so we celebrated his birthday on sunday stay tuned for all that fun.

Yesterday 5/17 - I went in to have my gall bladder removed. After my ER visit a month ago I was having some mild attacks and so I went to talk with a surgeon last week and he agreed 85% that my gallbladder should come out. So I got to the hospital at 9:30 am. We sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes before the took me to pre-op. Once at pre-op they got me all gowned up and then the waiting began. Surgery was scheduled for 11:45. At noon they still had not come and got me. So Brett inquired and they were running behind. They finally came and took me the pre-surgery room around 12:30. Hooked me up to an IV, doctor came in and talked to me and then the drug doctor (don't try to have me spell it...lol). Finally it was time almost 2 hours past my scheduled time. Nothing like keeping your nerves on edge.

They rolled me down this long hallway that had surgery room after surgery room (it was NOTHING like Grey's Anatomy). They had me move over onto the surgical table, they started the drugs and that's all I remember.

I woke up in the recovery room around 5:30pm. Dr. told Brett it's a good thing he took it out as it was inflamed & infected and he did find some stones which they hadn't seen in the ultrasound a month ago, they are sending it all to labs. Since I do not do well waking up from surgery, they decided to keep me over night to keep an eye on me as I was in alot of pain, had extremely low blood pressure and was quite pale.

They released me today around 1pm 5/18. It's good to be home. Hopefully now I can get some sleep. I'm on my way to recovery.

I'm hoping to return to blog land later this week. Thanks for your patience.

Happy Day - Heather

Missing in Action....Rushed to Hospital

Well it's been a rough couple of weeks.  2 Saturdays ago, I had just stepped out of the shower and I had this sharp pain in the center of my chest that dropped me to my knees, it was the WORST pain I have ever experienced in my life, it shot around my back and up over my right shoulder.  I was crying (SCREAMING) in pain, curled up in a ball on the floor praying that God would make it stop.

Brett was at work, the kids were napping and I thought I was dying.  I called my neighbor and I could barely talk through the pain, she suggested I call the Nurse's Hotline on the back of my insurance card, so I did, she said I needed to call 911.  So I called my neighbor back and she came over (just in time for the boys waking up), she walked in the door and was on the phone with 911.

The fire department came along with an ambulance, they came in, hooked me up to an EKG machine to see if it was my heart, at this point the pain had slowed.  They said it would be best to take me to the hospital - so off I went.
Once there they hooked me up to all these machines, gave me a medicine "cocktail" and there I waited for the Dr.  When he came in he started pressing around below my rib cage, when he got to the right side I shot off the table he says "that would be your gallbladder", and ordered an ultrasound.

Results...I had "Sludge" in my gallbladder...basically a bunch of sand that caused the exit for my bile to get blocked.  Now anyone who has had this in their life...Knows that when I say it was the WORST pain EVER, they know that I'm not exagerating.  He said I was not in a life threatening state and so he sent me home after 5 1/2 hours, and wanted me to follow up with my Doctor - which I did and he says I can leave it in for now (and I could have another attack) or take it out.  So far I've opted to keep it in and try and cleanse it.  BUT...if I were to have another attack that baby is coming out!!!!
